24/7 Welcome Desk with Tourisme Montréal

Offering information, even outside business hours
The role of Tourisme Montréal's Welcome Desk is to provide information to both local residents and visiting tourists. To meet this mission in the best possible way, the Bureau d'accueil had the idea of deploying a system outside its walls, accessible at any time of the day or year, even when the office is closed.
Using digital technology
The principle is simple, both in conception and deployment. The tourist office has installed a poster outside. Combined with a QR code and an NFC chip, it provides access to a wealth of relevant, up-to-date information.
Thanks to the poster, visitors can find out “what to do in Montreal, where to eat, or what to visit”. But they can also find information to make their stay easier, such as the weather, transport or the nearest toilet.
A “What to do in [current month]” category provides a link to the Tourisme Montréal website, and offers an overview of activities currently available in the city.
