Manif d'Art brings art to a shopping mall

Making art accessible to the general public
Every year, the non-profit organization Manif d'Art presents La biennale de Québec, an event that makes art accessible to the general public. The event showcases the work of over 100 artists throughout the city, accessible and understandable thanks to an interactive self-guided tour developed with MySmartJourney. What better way to raise awareness of contemporary art among the greatest number of passers-by than in a place frequented by thousands of people?
Generating interest in a place of consumption
In one of Quebec City's largest commercial galleries, Manif d'Art chose to install one of the works of art from La biennale de Québec. Located in the heart of the shopping center, the installation aroused the interest and intrigue of many passers-by, who were initially intent on finishing their shopping. Manif d'Art invites them to take an immersive detour through this unusual artistic installation, where shapes and colors fade in and out with their footsteps. By scanning the QR code in front of the work, passers-by can learn more about the artist's intentions and his work, which then becomes comprehensible and accessible to all.
