Keeping visitors entertained and sparking their curiosity

As part of Archaeology Month in August 2021, the Parks Canada team created an immersive family experience to highlight the archaeological treasures of the Forts and Châteaux Saint-Louis National Historic Site. In collaboration with Ottomata and MySmartJourney, a virtual and interactive activity was created in the heart of the archaeological crypt.

To entertain visitors while they waited and pique their curiosity, the organization came up with the innovative idea of deploying an interactive poster.

Giving a taste of the visit

An interactive poster with a QR code and NFC chip was strategically placed at the entrance to the event. This poster allowed participants to immerse themselves in the fascinating world of archaeology, discovering information about excavations, discoveries, and even learning how to become an archaeologist. In addition, visitors could have fun answering a playful quiz while waiting, making the experience even more enriching and entertaining.
