Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole promotes its producers

A food technopole
Since 1993, Saint-Hyacinthe has held the title of Agri-Food Technopole, awarded by the International Association of Science Parks (IASP). This title recognizes the exceptional concentration of educational institutions, research laboratories and agri-food-related industries located here.
Around its territory, in the Maskoutaine region, numerous food producers and processors offer local products in their stores.
Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole wanted to promote these producers to visitors and consumers with an easy-to-implement system that would create entertaining content for visitors.
Setting up an interactive pilot project
They decided to set up a pilot project using the MySmartJourney solution. For this first trial, they deployed an agrotourism trail called Épi-curieux. At four members' homes, they installed three posters enhanced with QR codes and NFC chips. The first poster provides information about the producer through a video testimonial.
Two other posters feature a game for customers. Quizzes, related to the business and the products, allow customers to get to know the producer better. Correct answers give access to a word to give in the store to win a prize.
